About Nitz Valve Hardware, Inc.
The people behind the products.
Nitz Valve Hardware, Inc. was established in 1984 by Jerry
Nitz at his home in Sebewaing, Michigan. After working in
the field for a few years, he saw the potential for an excellent
business and has built Nitz Valve Hardware from the ground
up. In 2012 Jerry purchased the facility we are
now located in. Jerry retired from the business in 2003 and
is now directed by his son Vince.
With more than 20 years in the business, Vince has a vast
knowledge of valves and actuators. The Nitz's have built an
extensive library of dimensional literature on valves, actuators,
switches, positioners, etc., from nearly every manufacturer
in the market. Nitz Valve Hardware fabricates an average of
15,000 plus kits per year, and has more than 150 years of
combined manufacturing and engineering experience.
Currently, we have 10 milling machines three of which are
CNC, and 4 lathes. We also have plasma cutting, welding, and
broaching capabilities. NVH does not stamp or bend any
of our mounting brackets. We have found these methods to have
too high of a rejection rate, which raise product costs. Using
the fabricating methods developed by the Nitz's we are able
to use standard structural steel tubing for most of our mounting
brackets, and have had a great deal of success doing so.
